Forbes: The Man Who Can Save GM (And why the board will never put him in charge)

Jerry Flint, of Forbes.com writes that he knows who the next CEO of GM should be:

...Does GM ( GM - news - people ) need another man born and raised at the Harvard Business School, who can read a balance sheet upside down and uses first names with bankers?

Is handling all that taxpayer money the big problem? Is the problem one they teach at the M.B.A. schools--Harvard, Michigan or Stanford? Does it need a man who has proved himself buying and selling companies and managing growth on the Internet, cellphones and a hedge fund?
